Harriet is currently undertaking a doctorate and is a sounding board to discuss and support the well being of the young people in our care. Harriet has show jumped at inter nations and has her UKCC coaching qualifications.
Kim
English & Music Specialist
Kim is an experienced secondary school senior manager and teacher having worked in a variety of school settings across Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.
Focusing on student led curriculum development, she has encouraged, nurtured and supported her students to become confident, successful and resilient individuals, becoming the best version of themselves.
Her first love is music and as a successful orchestral musician she has performed in venues across the country. Her love of horses is deep rooted, having ridden from a young age and also co-managed a team of international showjumpers.
At SPACE, Kim is passionate about combining her skills and interests to meet the needs of each individual student; encouraging them to thrive in this wonderful outdoor environment.
Hollie
Yard Supervisor/
Learning Mentor
Holly originally came to Georgia for riding lessons and then came back to complete her level 2 apprenticeship. Holly went on to work at a primary school but soon found herself back at S.P.A.C.E working as a learning mentor and on the yard with the horses, enjoying the best of both worlds. She has amazing patience with the young people and enjoys creating a calm and happy environment for the them to go on and achieve great things.
Rosie
Learning Mentor
Rosie has been passionate about horses since a child, and value their huge impact on wellbeing.
She has an HND in Equine Studies and is a registered Animal Medicines Advisor.
Rosie has worked in various fields, including flat horse racing and veterinary nursing. She love working outdoors and values it's therapeutic qualities.
Rosie particularly enjoys working at S.P.A.C.E combining her equine skills and love of working with children, helping them to experience the love of horses and all the positives that come with it.
Lydia
Yard Manager/
Learning Mentor
Lydia has always loved horses and when she left school joined us to complete her level 2 and then her level 3 apprenticeships. During this time, she was a Suffolk apprentice of the year finalist. Lydia has been committed to this role ever since and she is now the yard manager. Lydia immensely enjoys sharing her equine passion with the students who attend S.P.A.C.E. She keeps her own horses at S.P.A.C.E and so is here all the time even on her days off! We are fortunate that Lydia’s pony Mo- Jo is enjoyed and ridden by the children here and can frequently be seen hacking around the local countryside with very happy children.
Sue
Director
Sue is a very experienced teacher of primary and secondary education. She has held a variety of senior roles across Suffolk schools and is passionate about helping pupils who can thrive in a non-traditional setting. Sue has particular expertise in Mathematics and Physical Education and plans a bespoke curriculum, based around the outside environment and the horses to meet the needs of each child.
Sue has spent the last twenty years running her children to horse riding events around the country and is enjoys sharing this passion with a new generation.
Georgia
Director
Georgia is passionate about horses and their impact on personal wellbeing. She has always found the equine environment to be her “Happy place” and a place of inspiration. Georgia is committed in whatever she does, having won National Championships and competed internationally. Georgia is a UKCC level 3 coach and has completed the BEF National Development Programme for Coaching Excellence and BEF Young Professional Programme. Georgia enjoys sharing this passion and inspiring others into a lifelong interest of horses and helping young people to be their very best.
Andy
Primary Lead
Andy is an experienced teacher whose strengths are in building relationships with the people he works with. He is
an advocate for using movement, animals and the outdoors as a key tool in the teaching of young
people. Andy believes that creating a positive attitude to learning is vital so he frames learning in
unique and positive ways. He is enthusiastic in the teaching of self-care, resilience, self-worth and
relationships to support children in being able to cope with life’s obstacles.
