A Typical Day at SPACE
Our timetable is flexible and bespoke. Activities, timings and levels of support can be adapted around each young person’s individual needs, interests, targets and energy levels, ensuring that every day provides a balance of learning, practical experiences and time with the horses.
Every day at SPACE is personalised to the individual, but a typical day may look like this:

11:15–12:00 | Riding & equestrian activities
Time in the saddle, which may include riding in the arena or hacking, depending on the young person’s programme and experience.
12:00–12:30 | Lunch

12:30–1:15 | Music, sport or outdoor learning
An opportunity to explore interests through music, sport and other practical activities on site.
1:15–2:00 | Pony Club & horse-related learning
Developing equestrian knowledge and practical skills through Pony Club badges, horse care and other horse-related activities. Getting ready for home.
Helping your child at home
At SPACE, every student has a personalised curriculum designed around their individual needs, abilities, interests and aspirations. Learning is tailored to meet each young person where they are, whether that means developing core skills in maths and English at the level that is right for them, working towards Functional Skills qualifications, or exploring science and other academic subjects.
Our unique setting also means that learning can extend well beyond the classroom. Students can take part in stable management, horse care and riding, with equine activities forming as much or as little of their day as they would like. We also offer PSHE, music, art and forest school, alongside practical and outdoor learning opportunities. Our aim is to create a curriculum that is engaging, purposeful and flexible, helping every student to build confidence, develop skills and achieve their potential.
